Unseen, Not Absent

This powerful message draws us into the story of two disciples walking the Emmaus road, heartbroken and disappointed after the crucifixion of Jesus. What makes this narrative so compelling is the central truth it reveals: Jesus was walking right beside them, speaking to them, teaching them—yet they couldn't recognize Him. Their disappointment had become a blindfold. How often do we find ourselves in the same place? We pray, we wait, we look for God's presence, and when He doesn't show up the way we expected, we assume He's absent. But this passage from Luke 24:30-32 teaches us something profound: God may be unseen, but He is never absent.
